Giving space and support
Art reaches its full potential when it is free. When it can rid itself of external constraints and grow from within. This insight is as old as art itself. Those who have become aware of this see art with different eyes and listen to music with more attentive ears. And those who have become aware of this realise that it is worthwhile to give artists the freedom they need and to support them and their art. What is known as patronage continues today with the help of digital communication.
Patreon
is a website that brings artists and patrons together. Musicians talk about their lives, present musical works and perform them. They do this exclusively for their circle of supporters, who give free rein to creativity with a monthly financial contribution. The supporters themselves determine the amount of the contribution. They also decide for themselves whether and how long they want to support the artist. The participation can be terminated on a monthly basis without having to give reasons.
What do I do?
Bringing music to people is my great passion. Listening, feeling and understanding. What kind of person was the composer? What ideas did he incorporate into his composition? Is it worth listening closely to this or that detail? What is special about the instrument I use to play a piece?
I regularly post articles with audio and video recordings of organ and harpsichord works. Texts and photos are included. I avoid simply leaving the listener with the piece of music. Rather, I want to discover the works together with my listeners.
Special additional benefits
As a supporter, you can receive my CDs and ebooks at a discount or even free of charge.
Some CDs can be listened to in full directly on Patreon.
You have full access to all the features of my apps in the ‘Recording’ section.
Quality
In addition to artistic standards, I also set high standards for sound engineering. Extensive self-study in the field of organ microphoning and the use of first-class equipment result in broadcast-quality recordings.
In my articles here, I also give interested readers insights into my sound engineering work.
I warmly welcome you to the exclusive circle of my supporters:
