At the organ: Stefan Kießling, Leipzig. Stefan Kießling is a world-wide active concert organist, having been invited to not less than 28 countries across the European, American, Asian, Australian and African continent, already within just a few years of his career. 2009-2018 he served as Assistant organist at St Thomas Leipzig, which is world known for its tradition of Bach’s music. He was working also at the Braunschweig cathedral and at the Klosterkirche Cottbus, where he held the position of the artistic director of an international concert series. Born in Görlitz, his musical way led him through several stages in education of the organ and harpsichord to Leipzig, where he began to study organ. After lessons with Prof. Dr. Christoph Krummacher and Stefan Nusser, Stefan Kießling took his exam in 2005 at St Nicolas Church Leipzig. In addition he attended a post-graduate study with Prof. Stefan Engels, which he finished in 2008. Stefan Kießling is active both as organ soloist and chamber music partner. He had engagements at distinguished locations like Konzerthaus Berlin, St Thomas Church New York City, Washington National Cathedral, London Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral, Kreuzkirche Dresden, Scot’s Church Melbourne, Philharmony Ekaterinburg and many others.
